Woaaah how did that happen? Five years ago today every aspect of my life changed forever! ✨ 11/12/13 I started my journey as cabin crew with @british_airways it was a huge risk I didn’t know would pay off as I quit my job, moved to London and started a career that many thought I wouldn’t last at. I even remember sitting in the flight deck of a 737 on my first flight ready for take off to Venice thinking *what am I doing?!?* it was a huge change up in my life but it was exactly what I needed. I didn’t really know what I was doing after uni, didn’t really have a huge passion for anything and kinda felt like I was in a bit of a rut. All I knew was that I wanted to travel and be paid to do it. Becoming cabin crew was more than just starting a new job for me, it was facing new challenges, fears and realising exactly where I was meant to be. It was like everything just fell into place - including meeting the man of my dreeeeammssss who I’m going to marry in 7 months . . . . I’m so grateful for everything I’ve experienced along my journey (the good and the bad), it’s a job that’s given me so much perspective and motivation. I’ve met so many amazing people, visited some incredible countries and I have turned my dreams of getting paid to do what I love into a reality. ✈️ . . . So here’s to the next five years of flying, and if you take anything away from reading this post it’s that whatever your dreams are go out and achieve them. Don’t let barriers of fear, other people’s opinions or lack of self belief stop you because being on the other side makes you realise the only thing that was ever holding you back is yourself ❤️❤️❤️
