ONE ALDWYCH HOTEL REVIEW // WEEKEND LONDON GETAWAY

Our weekend stay at the One Aldwych hotel in London was the perfect luxury mini break we were long overdue. When choosing a hotel for our staycation, it was the obvious choice due to it’s unique in-house offerings as well as its superb location only a stones throw from London’s famous landmarks, great restaurants, Soho nightlife and of course West End theatres.

After checking in on Friday afternoon for our two night stay, we opted to have a night in and enjoy an evening at the One Aldwych. Starting with drinks at their stylish Lobby Bar before watching a film in their private cinema. The Film and Fizz night tickets include a glass of champagne and popcorn whilst watching a current or classic film.

The films vary throughout the year, make sure to book in advance as the small screening room fills up fast. You also don’t have to be a guest at the hotel to attend their Film and Fizz nights. Following on from our early evening movie screening we enjoyed a beautiful three course meal in their Indigo restaurant.

For a central London hotel, rooms at the One Aldywch are surprisingly spacious, thus tempting us to enjoy a lie in with coffee in bed. If you want your morning to be a little more upbeat, take a dip in the basement swimming pool that uniquely plays music underwater.

Located in the old Morning Post printing office, One Aldwych opened its doors in 1998 and remains one of the very few independent hotels in London. This 5 star hotel is a little oasis in the chaos that surrounds it in central London. With so much to offer, it really is a struggle to venture out and explore the rest of London.
